The Seven Goals of Trusted Partners

The Trusted Partner has seven goals and seven areas of study that he must strive for:  evangelism, bible knowledge, local church involvement, the family, the community, mentoring, cultural awareness and self-esteem.

Evangelism.

Trusted Partners will be organized into three (3) committees.  These committees will consist of outreach to men and women in jails and prisons, in the streets of our cities and people who are respectable but not saved.  There are three (3) evangelism seminars which will prepare the Trusted Partners for this task.

Bible Knowledge.

Trusted Partners will participate in seven (7) seminars designed to give them thorough knowledge of important bible doctrines, as well as a basic understanding of the bible layout.

Local Church Involvement.

Trusted Partners who have received training in bible doctrine and evangelism will receive further training in “People Skills.”  These four (4) seminars will include lessons on problem solving, counseling minors, lay shepherding and positive attitude.  After these seminars, Trusted Partners will be assigned various responsibilities in the church, such as parking, worship, security, directors, lay shepherds, maintenance, culinary, etc.

The Family.

Trusted Partners will receive four (4) seminars on husband and father, wives and mother roles and responsibilities in the Christian family.

The Community.

Trusted Partners will be divided into four (4) groups.  These groups will deal with the various areas of leadership needed in our communities.  Four (4) seminars will be offered in these areas.

Mentoring.

Two (2) mentoring training seminars will be offered, after attending each Trusted Partner will be required to mentor at least two (2) African-American youth being raised by single partners.  Mentoring will include a minimum of eight (8) hours each month with mentor and mentoree.

Cultural Awareness/Self-Esteem.

Three (3) seminars per year will be conducted which will address the issues of our African-American heritage and ways to build self-esteem in African-American people.

The History Of National Trusted Partners For Christ

Greetings in the name of Jesus our Lord and Savior; as we began this journey I am reminded of our initial commitment to seek Gods’ direction and guidance. I asked God over and over as to what path we should take that would lead our people in a way that is pleasing to Him.  I asked God to lend His ear to our words and grant insight so that we can get it right the first time. We prayed for understanding that would keep us ever marching to His drum beat as His mighty army.  As the prayers continued, finally the quite calm of the Holy Spirit let me hear the voice of God our Father. Hearing His voice brought His peace and instructions like He spoke to Moses from the burning bush. He speaks now to us and this is what He said; His instructions were to go and assemble the people.  He said, “My church must become the church of the bible. “Call the people together, and let the work begin.” “Go through the gates of the cities cast out the stones, nurture and raise up a standard for the people.” “Lift up Jesus before the people that they may know that you have been with me.” “My church has the power to serve plant and evangelize.”  “Our mission is to see people changed to be like Christ, churches to be the body of Christ and Communities transformed to reflect the Kingdom of God.” “We must love one another and show love to everyone for that is who I am.

We prayed as Brothers and Sisters; we sought God’s ear and direction. We were determined to make these biblical truths become real in our everyday Christian practice.  After continued prayer and under the direction of the Holy Spirit we re-committed ourselves to become the church of the Bible.  We adjourned Trusted Partners for Christ. At this writing we are now National Trusted Partners for Christ, Inc.  This journey started over 15years ago, with pioneers like Dr. E.L. Thomas and Dr. S.C. Nash laying foundational corner stones in this work and contributed much to the labor and writing of this manual. We thank them dearly and appreciatively applaud them for their contribution to this work that God our Father has Re-birthed.  As we embrace these principles and become a part of this great move of God; our focus will be about unity of purpose, thought and direction.

Yours in His Great Name,
